Job summary

Family Resources in Muscatine, IA, seeks an Advocate - Survivor Services to provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy for individuals affected by homicide, domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual abuse, and other trauma. You will work with law enforcement and crisis partners to ensure timely, respectful support.

The role includes a 24-hour crisis on-call rotation with evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires a valid driver’s license for community travel.

Qualifications

• Education required: open.
• Education preferred: Bachelor’s degree in social work or the human services field.
• Experience in related field: any relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle with insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy for victims of homicide, domestic violence, and other traumas.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and crisis response partners to ensure safety and timely support.
• Participate in 24-hour crisis on-call rotation; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
