Job summary

Parametrix is seeking On-Call Construction Inspectors to join our Community Building team. You’ll perform daily on-site inspections of wastewater, roadway, utility, or vertical construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.

This role supports QA/QC, documents field activities, coordinates with contractors and clients, and may require field traversal of varied conditions. Flexible work arrangements include hybrid, remote, or in-office options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction inspection experience on public infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of WSDOT and local municipal standards, methods, and materials.
• Experience with QA/QC and field report documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site inspections of roadways, utilities, and related infrastructure projects.
• Monitor contractor activities for safety, quality, and contract compliance.
• Document field activities with daily reports, photos, and logs.
• Review contractor quantities for payment and assist in progress pay estimates.
• Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and final inspections.
