Job summary

Parametrix is seeking On-Call Construction Inspectors to support public infrastructure projects around the Puget Sound region and water/wastewater work in the Yuma area. You will perform on-site inspections, monitor safety and quality, and document daily activities while coordinating with design teams and clients.

The role requires 3+ years in construction inspection, knowledge of specifications/drawings, and certifications in WAQTC/NICET/OSHA/First Aid/CPM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of construction inspection on public infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret construction specifications and drawings.
• Familiarity with WSDOT and local municipal construction standards.
• Background in water/wastewater utility systems (pipes, pumps, treatment).
• Valid Washington state driver’s license.
• Must be able to traverse varied field conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Certifications in WAQTC/NICET/OSHA/First Aid/CPR/USACE CQM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site inspections of wastewater, roadway, utility, or vertical construction projects ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Monitor contractor activities for safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements.
• Document field activities with reports, photos, and logs using project templates or software.
• Review and verify contractor quantities for payment and assist in progress pay estimates.
• Assist QA/QC with materials testing coordination and verification.
• Communicate with contractors, design teams, clients, and third-party inspectors and other partners.
• Support project closeout including punch list development and final inspections.
