Job summary

Parametrix is seeking On-Call Construction Inspectors to support public infrastructure projects in the Puget Sound region and water/wastewater work in the Yuma area. You will perform on-site inspections, monitor safety and quality, and maintain detailed field records.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of inspection experience, ability to read plans, and familiarity with WA/DOT standards. Certifications (WAQTC/NICET/OSHA) are preferred. Flexible work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

3+ years of construction inspection experience, preferably on public infrastructure projects (roadways and utilities).
Ability to interpret construction specifications and drawings.
Understanding of WA/DOT and local municipal construction standards, methods, and materials.
Background in water/wastewater utility systems including pipe installation, pump stations, and treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

Perform daily on-site inspections of roadway, utility, or wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
Monitor contractor activities for safety, quality, environmental, and contract adherence.
Document field activities with daily reports, photos, and logs via laptops/tablets.
Review and verify contractor quantities for payment and assist in progress pay estimates.
Inspect underground utilities including stormwater, sanitary sewer, and potable water systems.
