Job summary

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions (CYFS) in Macomb, IL seeks a Community Outreach On-Call Advocate to support children, families, and communities during crises. You will build supportive relationships and help clients address needs toward stability and permanency.

A typical day includes crisis intervention, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and thorough documentation to track progress and guide goal achievement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Child Welfare experience is preferred.
• Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must obtain an insured vehicle and have at least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work with children, teens, adults, and families in crisis.
• Provide intervention, stabilization, de-escalation, and conflict management using a trauma-informed, family-centered approach.
• Document all services delivered to track client progress and plan for achievement of goals.
