Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living seeks a Community Manager/Assistant Manager to lead on-site operations in a collaborative team. You will supervise staff, manage resident relations, and assist with budgeting and compliance while ensuring safety and a warm living environment for residents.

The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to 100% occupancy and satisfaction. You will live on-site and work with the Regional Director to uphold Hawthorn Senior Living standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in community/operations management.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, training, guidance, and communication while assisting with all aspects of Community management when managers are off-duty.
• Respond to emergencies and resident needs; adjust procedures with Regional Director approval when needed.
• Develop occupancy strategies to maintain 100% occupancy through events, direct inquiries, and tours.
• Follow the approved operating budget and obtain approvals for exceptions from the Regional Director.
• Manage resident relations, conduct monthly meetings, and address complaints to Hawthorn Senior Living standards.
• Oversee Human Resources tasks including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management with the team.
• Direct Culinary Services with budget and inventory oversight, ensuring safe, balanced meals.
