Job summary

Touchmark is seeking a Building Services Technician to maintain and repair the health community’s facilities and grounds, ensuring safety and comfort for residents. You'll perform general maintenance, respond to requests promptly, operate and monitor building systems, and work with vendors as needed.

A high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug screen are required. This role emphasizes teamwork, hospitality, and timely communication to enrich residents' daily

Qualifications

• Be committed to and passionate about 100% customer satisfaction.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have experience with general maintenance in a community setting; previous experience working in a health care environment is a plus.
• Have basic knowledge of appliances, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair.
• Have knowledge and experience working with technology such as smart phones, tablets, smart remotes, smart TVs and personal computers.
• Ability to work with vendors.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Have working knowledge of business software and Microsoft operating systems.
• Have the ability to move quickly to various areas of the entire property.
• Physical work is a primary part of this role.
• Be available for a rotating on call shift.
• Be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate clearly with other team members and residents.
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors.
• Valid Driver License
• Ability to pass a drug screening
