Job summary

Touchmark at Georgetown, located on 13 beautifully landscaped acres just north of Austin, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep buildings and equipment in good condition and ensure grounds are attractive and well-maintained.

This role requires 2–3 years in community maintenance, basic knowledge of appliances, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and a valid driver’s license. The 3pm–11pm shift supports resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Be committed to 100% customer satisfaction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of general maintenance experience in a community setting; health care setting a plus.
• Basic knowledge of appliance, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical maintenance/repair.
• Comfort with technology (smartphones/tablets/remotes/PCs).
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work across the property.
• English literacy for clear communication with residents and team.
• Valid Driver License and ability to pass a drug screen.

This position is for the 3pm to 11pm shift.

The Ideal Candidates Will

• Be committed to and passionate about 100% customer satisfaction
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience with general maintenance in a community setting; previous experience working in a health care environment is a plus
• Have basic knowledge of appliance, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair
• Have knowledge and experience working with technology such as smart phones, tablets, smart remotes, smart TVs and personal computers.
• Ability to work with vendors
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Have working knowledge of business software and Microsoft operating systems
• Have the ability to move quickly to various areas of the entire property
• Physical work is a primary part of this role
• Be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate clearly with other team members and residents
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
• Valid Driver License
• Ability to pass a drug screening
