Job summary

HealthPartners, Inc. seeks an on-call Medical Receptionist to float between HP Como, HP Saint Paul, HP Nokomis Clinic, HP Bloomington, HP Inver Grove, HP Nokomis, HP Apple Valley and HP Eagan Clinics.

The role supports scheduling, registration, and patient check-in with a focus on accurate data collection and exceptional service. The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and solid experience in medical reception or customer service, with strong communication and multitasking

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Formal training in medical reception or customer service program is acceptable.
• Two years of medical receptionist experience is required.
• Two years in a customer service role is required.
• One year of using data lookup and data entry on a mainframe or PC system is required.
• One year customer service experience in person or by phone in the last five years is required.
• Must demonstrate ability to organize work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate appointment scheduling and collect current financial and demographic information.
• Contribute to revenue collection for the medical group.
• Check-in patients accurately and professionally and verify insurance as needed.
• Coordinate with clinics to manage schedules and patient flow.
• Provide clerical support such as filing, faxing, and copying as required.
• Maintain effective communication with Appointment Center to meet patient and provider needs.
