Job summary

Pillsbury United Communities is seeking an on-call Child Care Aide to join the Early Education Center in Minneapolis, caring for toddlers and preschoolers (16 months to 5 years) and supporting a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, stimulating space, supervising during meals and rest, assisting with meals, toileting, diapering, helping with prep and activities, and supporting teachers during field trips and inventory tasks while honoring diverse

Qualifications

• Available to work on call Monday–Friday between 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Experience working with children aged 16 months to 5 years
• Understanding of child development and safety protocols
• Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Respect for diverse cultures and languages
• CPR/First Aid knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with DHS childcare center regulations
• Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning space
• Supervise children during play, meals, and rest
• Assist with meals, toileting, and diapering
• Clean toys, tables, and learning materials
• Support teachers with prep and activity facilitation
• Help children resolve conflicts and build social skills
• Participate in outdoor play and field trips
• Take weekly inventory and assist with ordering supplies
