Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders and nursing supervision. You will follow facility policies and maintain accurate documentation of all medications.

You will participate in QA programs, communicate with nurses and pharmacists, verify resident identities, and ensure medications are properly labeled and stored according to state regulations and facility procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and any required examination(s).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing the administration of medications.
• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
