Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, under supervision by nursing leadership. You will adhere to established policies, document medication administration, and participate in QA activities.

Responsibilities include accurate medication prep, labeling, charting, and reporting any discrepancies. The role supports resident safety and quality of care in a facility setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and any necessary examinations.
• Must be able to follow policies and procedures and maintain resident safety.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the physician under supervision.
• Note and report errors in medication administration and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications per facility protocols.
• Verify resident identity before administering treatment and ensure proper labeling.
