Job summary

PACS is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to assist in administering prescribed medications to residents under physician orders and nursing supervision. You will follow facility policies and maintain accurate documentation while ensuring resident safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include accurate medication administration, reporting errors, and cooperating with nurses, physicians, and pharmacists to continually improve the medication process.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and procedures; present information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document oral/topical medications as ordered by the physician.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration.
• Report medication errors and adverse reactions to nursing leadership.
• Maintain accurate charts, forms, and required documentation.
• cooperate with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure safe medication handling.
