Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) manages student housing on the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus. The Property Maintenance Technician collaborates with staff to upkeep and repair the community.

Responsibilities include maintaining basic building functions, appliances, locks, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems. The role requires punctuality, organization, and the ability to troubleshoot, with on-call rotations for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical is a plus.
• Must be punctual, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools is expected.
• Clear English communication; basic Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC systems and related components.
• Repair and replace electrical fixtures, plumbing, and basic appliances.
• Paint, drywall repair, and general building maintenance as needed.
• Keep maintenance logs and organized shop area.
• Respond to on-call emergencies within 30 minutes when scheduled.
• Assist with move-in/move-out room and common area restorations.
