Job summary

Walla Walla Public Schools is seeking an on-call Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator to support bus transportation for students, including those with special needs. You will work with the bus driver to ensure safety, assist ambulatory and wheelchair-bound students, and operate lifts and restraints as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and a willingness to learn district safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist bus driver on scheduled routes and trips.
• Maintain safe control of student passengers and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist students with special needs, including those in wheelchairs.
• Operate bus equipment such as wheelchair lifts and restraints.
• Be alert to student health concerns and unusual behavior.
