Job summary

Walla Walla Public Schools is seeking an on-call substitute bus driver to transport students to and from school, field trips, and activities. You will operate a school bus safely under state and district policies and maintain a positive atmosphere on board.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement. First Aid/CPR certification and background checks are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Class B CDL with passenger endorsement; training provided.
• First Aid and CPR certification required; fingerprinting and background checks.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school, field trips, and activities.
• Operate school bus safely in all weather and road conditions.
• Inspect, refuel and report bus issues per district policy.
• Maintain discipline and safety on board; interact positively with students.
• Complete records, route maps, and communicate with transportation staff.
