Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician in Nashville, TN to support USCIS ASC operations. You will perform biometrics registration, fingerprinting, and photo capture for applicants pursuing lawful immigration, while safeguarding PII and providing professional customer service.

The role emphasizes high-quality biometrics processing, security, and compliance, with training provided and an on-call schedule. Training to certification occurs within sixty days.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and identification allowing entry into the ASC.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure a safe and organized entry into the facility.
• Visually inspect applicants and their belongings prior to allowing entry into the facility.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government Immigration Service Officer when necessary.
• Manage and complete with accuracy administrative paperwork such as tracking processing time for applicants.
