Highgate Hotels in Greenville, SC, seeks a Banquet Server for on-call events. You will set up banquet spaces, serve guests, read the BEO, and maintain a professional, friendly presentation throughout functions.

The role requires open availability, including mornings (as early as 6am), weekends and holidays. This is an On Call position, not part-time or full-time, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within our hospitality team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize duties.
• Ability to read and follow BEO and menus.
• Attentive, friendly, service-oriented demeanor.
• Effective problem solving and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform preparatory tasks and side work to ensure guests are served promptly.
• Read the BEO and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
• Serve guests according to the hotel’s standards in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Respond to guest problems and communicate with management when needed.
• Set all tables according to hotel standards.
• Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat, stocked condition.
• Clean banquet space after the function and restock equipment.
• Prepare room according to BEO and meal functions.
• Follow money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Know menu items for each function and provide accurate descriptions.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
