Job summary

The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Banquet Server (On-Call) to assist the Banquet Manager in serving guests during events, ensuring a positive experience. You will help with setup, guest interactions, beverage service, and timely clearing and resetting of spaces.

This on-call role requires basic food and beverage knowledge, strong guest relations, and reliable communication. You may work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as events dictate.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be a team player and pitch in.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Able to transport up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly manner.
• Serve food and beverages per supervisor and maintain consistency.
• Clear dishes as guests finish each course and/or meal.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate alcohol requirements.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for the next function.
• Be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
