Job summary

The Woodlands Resort in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to assist the banquet manager and ensure excellent guest experiences during events. You will set up rooms, greet guests, and serve courses with attentiveness and professionalism.

Role requires ability to stand long hours, lift up to 30 lbs, and comply with alcohol service policies. Join a team focused on hospitality excellence and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards and guest relations.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food/beverage in order and as per Supervisor’s expectations to ensure consistency.
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for next function per Supervisor’s specifications.
