Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Server (On-Call) at The Woodlands Resort in The Woodlands, TX. The role supports banquet managers during events, set up and service of food and beverages, and guest interactions to ensure a positive experience.

The position requires the ability to stand long hours, lift up to 30 lbs, and follow service standards. Prior hotel or food & beverage experience is preferred; a team-oriented mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Be willing to pitch in and help coworkers, and be a team player.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Able to understand and apply written product labeling instructions for safe handling.
• Able to remember and promote menu items; good memory for offerings.
• Able to transport up to 30 lbs. throughout a banquet setting.
• Able to stand for long periods; maintain clear communication with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed, including linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings prior to events to learn function details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages as directed to ensure consistency.
• Promptly clear dishes after courses; reset room for next function according to supervisor.
