Job summary

Mount Rushmore National Memorial in the Black Hills is hiring an On-Call/Intermittent Banquet Bartender to join the Food & Beverage team. You will mix cocktails, pour drafts, and decant wine during banquets, with a start date in September 2026 and a pay rate of $16.25/hour.

This on-call position offers as-needed scheduling and opportunities within the Xanterra Travel Collection. Benefits include medical coverage, 401k, Supplemental Benefits (pet insurance), EAP, wellness programs, and learning

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Previous bartending experience is strongly preferred.
• Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required. Workshops will be provided if not currently certified.
• Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly: Service procedures, beverage knowledge, wine salesmanship, etc.
• Knowledge of brands, selections and recipes is helpful.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Record and enter all food and beverage items; serve food and beverages promptly to guests; collect payment; ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maximize sales through menu and beverage knowledge and suggestive selling; upsell wine.
