Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection at Mount Rushmore National Memorial is seeking On-Call/Intermittent Banquet Servers to assist with banquet events in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. You will set up banquet rooms, serve food and beverages, greet guests, and ensure top hospitality standards are met during each function.

Position features include on-call shifts with September 2026 season dates and a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. No employee housing is available.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet serving ability is preferred.
• Ability to communicate well with guests in English.
• Knowledge of table settings and service ware.
• Capable of following supervisor instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linen, service ware and glassware as instructed.
• Attend roll call meetings to learn function particulars and expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages, remove dishes as courses finish, and ensure consistency.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction throughout the event.
• Reset the banquet room after the function and be available for regular shifts.
