Job summary

Jacobs is seeking on-call archaeologists to support projects across Colorado, Wyoming, and surrounding western states for planning, engineering, and construction services across renewable energy, government, military, transportation, and commercial clients.

Ideal candidates hold a BA in Anthropology/Archaeology with field experience, knowledge of NHPA/ARPA/NEPA/NAGPRA, and strong GIS skills, written and verbal communication. Frequent travel and long days are expected; hybrid work policy applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology/Archaeology/CRM required.
• 3+ years of professional archaeological field work experience.
• Experience in construction monitoring and collaborating with tribal monitors.
• Knowledge of NHPA, ARPA, NEPA, NAGPRA and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide cultural resources support for planning, engineering, and construction services.
• Conduct archaeological surveys and construction monitoring, including documentation and photography.
• Prepare site forms and artifact analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with senior cultural resources staff to ensure compliance.
