Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking on-call Archaeological Field Technicians for Nevada projects in Reno and Las Vegas. Responsibilities include monitoring construction, identifying archaeological and paleontological resources, and maintaining daily logs with GIS and field apps.

Travel and overnight stays may be required. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in archaeology/anthropology/geology or related field, at least one year of field experience, and the ability

• Minimum of one year of field experience or related academic field experience in Nevada.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology/geology or related field.
• Ability to use app-based software for field recordation and mapping.
• Open to travel for projects with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities for archaeological and/or paleontological resources.
• Communicate effectively with construction crews and project personnel.
• Write and maintain daily survey, monitoring, recordation, and cataloging logs using electronic data collection tools and GIS.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
