Job summary

RHM Real Estate Group seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for our apartment property in East Cleveland, Ohio. You’ll handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs, perform routine inspections, and uphold safety standards while keeping units in tip-top condition.

You’ll schedule preventive maintenance, prepare vacant units, respond to resident requests, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires on-call availability and a professional, team-focused attitude; must supply your own

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in property maintenance or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to maintenance work.
• Must supply your own tools; building will supply specialty tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and appliances.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents professionally.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with repairs, painting, cleaning, and coordinating contractors for a 3–5 day turnaround.
• Monitor cleanliness and safety of common areas; coordinate with management.
• Schedule contracts and approve completed work orders and invoices.
• Assist in managing vendor relationships and on-call maintenance coverage.
