Kay Apartment Communities in Oxon Hill, MD, manages a 182-unit apartment community and seeks a Service Technician to maintain property integrity and deliver exceptional resident service.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, HVAC tasks and preventative maintenance; candidates should have 3–5 years of apartment maintenance, own tools, and a valid driver’s license, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of apartment maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, appliances and carpentry.
• Experience in apartment turnovers and completing service requests.
• HVAC and CFC certifications preferred.
• Must have own hand tools and valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and staff within policies and Fair Housing laws.
• Complete maintenance work, service requests, turnovers, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Service, repair, replace and install appliances, fixtures, electrical components, plumbing, doors, floors and fixtures.
• Prepare apartments for move-in on schedule; perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain company-owned equipment in good condition and perform other duties as assigned.
