Kay Apartment Communities is seeking a skilled service technician for our 197-unit Falls Church, VA community. You will handle hands-on maintenance, respond to service requests, complete turnovers, and prepare apartments for move-ins to ensure resident satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years in apartment maintenance, strong skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliances, and the ability to work independently with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of apartment maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, appliances and carpentry.
• HVAC experience and CFC certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; must have own hand tools.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with residents, guests and staff.
• Perform maintenance work, service requests, turnovers, inspections and preventative tasks.
• Repair and install items (kitchens, appliances, fixtures, doors, floors) as needed.
• Prepare apartments for move-in on schedule.
• Respond to emergencies during on-call hours and after-hours as required.
• Maintain all company-owned equipment in good condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
