Job summary

Fairfield Residential is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for our Austin, TX community. You will perform daily upkeep, diagnose issues in electrical, plumbing and appliances, and prepare vacant units for new residents.

You will participate in on-call rotations, support safety and cleanliness across the property, and communicate with vendors to ensure timely repairs. Previous property maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license are helpful; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Minimum one year of maintenance or related trade experience preferred.
• General computer skills including mobile devices.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; strong customer service.
• Willingness to be on-call after hours and work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using a checklist.
• Maintain exterior areas and pool spaces; assist with safety and inspections.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors; report inventory needs and liabilities.
