Job summary

Right At School is seeking a Substitute Educator (on call) to support schools within the Roseville District. The role is on-site at partner sites with a flexible schedule, typically Monday–Friday 12:30–6:00pm, and pay of $20–$22 per hour based on education and experience.

The candidate should be open to assignments at multiple Roseville-area schools; preferred candidates have 6+ months experience with children, 18+ with HS diploma, and ability to lift 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Experience with children under 13 in a group setting (preferred).
• Two years of higher education study (48 units) or AA degree or pass a District assessment test.
• Must be 18+ with a High school diploma or equivalent.
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or related field (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with TB test (state-specific requirements).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily program meetings to review goals and updates, encourage collaboration and accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives.
• Model positive guidance and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
• Monitor safety, document attendance, incidents and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
