Job summary

The Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) in Orlando seeks a motivated Community Recreation Aide to assist the Information, Tickets and Tours Office. You will promote and sell tickets, provide information on activities, and support daily operations.

Responsibilities include processing registrations, handling POS transactions, inventory, event support, and customer service to authorized patrons. A background check and suitability requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 6 months general experience and 6 months specialized experience.
• Basic knowledge of local and Florida recreational attractions.
• Ability to operate a computerized cash register POS system and skill in cash handling.
• Ability to follow oral directions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with persons from divergent backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and information for Community Recreation programs.
• Process ticket sales and rentals using POS and related programs.
• Maintain accuracy of daily sales and complete a DAR after each shift.
• Assist with Internet registrations and event sign-ups.
• Inventory and check-in/out equipment and maintain records.
