Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking staff for Auto Skills at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, to assist patrons with self-maintenance of vehicles and support MWR activities. Responsibilities include POS transactions, information provision, event setup, and general maintenance tasks.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to handle cash and inventory while supporting recreation programs and community events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the MWR department to answer customer questions.
• Skilled in keyboarding and operation of point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to perform basic computer operations and read procedures.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and cash handling.
• Ability to identify customer needs and provide appropriate service.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and support for recreation and fitness programs.
• Inform patrons about facilities and operation while ensuring safety and security procedures.
• Maintain routine reports and perform clerical, custodial and general maintenance tasks.
• Operate the POS system, process transactions, rentals, and program registrations.
• Greet patrons, answer phones, take messages, and refer requests to staff.
• Support recreation event setup and breakdown and perform other duties as assigned.
