Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join our military housing team at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This role maintains a federal facility and requires basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills, plus a valid driver's license.

You will respond to service calls, transport appliances, perform repairs, update work orders on mobile devices, and ensure safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Less than 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
A current driver’s license in good standing and ability to meet driving records standards.
Basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties.
Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
Sharp customer service skills.
Ability to read and write in English, to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
This position is located at a federal facility with REAL ID requirement to access the facility.

Responsibilities

Respond to service calls and complete maintenance work orders.
Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other appliances.
Load/unload trucks and conveyances; move supplies with wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
Repair and fabricate window/door screens and frames.
Operate power tools and lawn equipment; clean job sites and perform site clean-up.
Update work order status and submit paperwork accurately from mobile devices.
Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.
