Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a General Maintenance Technician at Fort Hood, TX to perform maintenance across rental units, offices, and grounds, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing tasks and general repairs.

The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills, a current driver’s license, and the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work. A REAL ID compliant ID is required to access the federal facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• REAL ID compliant driver’s license required to access the federal facility.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
• Ability to provide basic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and complete Maintenance work orders.
• Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other appliances.
• Load/unload trucks and move supplies with wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
• Move materials to proper locations and prepare storage areas.
• Repair and fabricate window and door screens and frames.
• Perform grounds maintenance: dig, level surfaces, operate power tools and lawn equipment.
• Remove floor tile, drywall, and other materials as needed.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety after work.
• Update work order status with time, materials, and notes on mobile devices.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Keep supervisor informed of activities and issues.
