Job summary

Federal Guardian LLC seeks Personal Financial Counselors to deliver comprehensive financial counseling and education to service members and families on military installations. The role supports planning, budgeting, and debt strategies, and collaborates with installation leadership to ensure program compliance and security standards.

Candidates must hold AFC or ChFC or CFP credentials, be a U.S. citizen, and have 1,000+ hours of counseling experience; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of education and experience that equips the individual to serve as a financial counselor.
• Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 1 investigation.
• Must have over 1,000 hours of financial counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicize, and provide financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Use virtual counseling or other communication modes when in-person sessions are not possible.
• Follow DoW protocols and coordinate with leadership on sensitive cases.
• Engage with installation leadership and POCs to ensure program compliance and delivery.
