Job summary

Federal Guardian, LLC is hiring a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling and education to service members and their families at assigned military installations.

The role includes counseling, workshops, and collaboration with leadership to ensure program effectiveness, compliance with DoD protocols, and responsive support to personnel across the installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience establishing eligibility as a financial counselor.
• Must hold one of AFC, ChFC, or CFP certifications.
• Fluent English and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling to service members and families at assigned installations.
• Develop and deliver financial education materials and classes/workshops.
• Coordinate with POC to ensure program meets installation needs.
• Maintain DoD-compliant counseling practices and protect sensitive information.
• Respond to youth and adult counseling requests and provide referrals as needed.
• Utilize secure telecommunication channels for virtual counseling when required.
• Maintain records, participate in supervision, and support contract activities.
