Job summary

Magellan Federal seeks a Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor, PFC-Northern Virginia, to provide comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families at military installations, including surge coverage and on-demand assignments.

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 3+ years of financial counseling, U.S. citizenship, fluent English, and certifications AFC/ CFP/ ChFC. Optional bilingual Spanish; OCI disclosure compliance; salary range $58,440–$93,500.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to obtain Tier 2 investigation clearance.
• Certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Develop spending plans for extended absences and adverse events.
• Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Use virtual counseling tools as needed and secure communications.
