Job summary

The University of New England in Maine is seeking an OMM Clinical Coordinator to support the administrative operations of the OMM Student Patient Clinic and academic programming.

You will coordinate scheduling for fourth-year and second-year medical students, maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems, answer inquiries, and collaborate across departments to keep clinic operations efficient and compliant with policies.

Qualifications

• Advanced administrative support in academic/healthcare settings preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with Banner, Medicat, or similar EHR systems preferred.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and discretion.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling for patient, student rotation, and clinical activities for the OMM Student Patient Clinic.
• Maintain patient documentation in compliance with policies and HIPAA.
• Answer phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, and route inquiries as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff across OMM, Academic Affairs, and Clinical Education departments to support clinic operations.
• Prepare and administer patient satisfaction surveys and compile quarterly/annual reports.
• Coordinate schedules and assessments for fourth-year and second-year medical students.
