Job summary

LA28 in Los Angeles seeks a Manager, Training Venue Operations to lead planning and delivery of training venues for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. You will shape venue structure, headcount, hiring, and policies to ensure athletes train under optimal conditions onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering national and international level sporting events in a leadership role.
• Extensive event operations knowledge across professional leagues or teams, federations, universities, and grassroots sport.
• Understanding of sport venue delivery at international and national level, including a clear understanding of IF, IOC, and IPC training venue requirements.
• Experience collaborating on venue design, event planning, management, and delivery across multiple functional areas.
• Extensive experience recruiting, training, and leading a large and diverse workforce for the delivery of sporting events.
• Extensive knowledge of International Federations and their role in the Movement.
• Strong communication, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative mindset that fosters high performance without ego.

Responsibilities

• Drive the planning process for assigned training venues, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Liaise with Sport Managers on the development and design of specific training venues and their layouts.
• Help develop the overall training venue structure, including headcount, job descriptions, management structure, and hiring.
• Develop policies, procedures, and other operational documents and tools for operational planning and delivery.
• Manage operations and communication across multiple functional areas and venues, in line with agreed plans, policies, and procedures.
