Job summary

Lilly Genetic Medicines is seeking a collaborative, creative problem solver to join a multidisciplinary team at the front edge of innovation. You will synthesize therapeutic oligonucleotides (ASO, siRNA) from small to large scales and collaborate with analytical and CMC teams to drive high-speed progress toward the clinic.

The role requires a BS/MS in a related chemistry field with 2+ years’ industry experience, strong lab skills, and authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related with 2+ years industry experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).
• Strong laboratory skills and instrumentation experience with oligonucleotide synthesis and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize oligonucleotides (ASO, siRNA, etc.) from 75–6000 umol scales using automated synthesizers.
• Troubleshoot synthetic challenges and optimize workflows.
• Collaborate with discovery chemistry to understand scale-up requirements for novel molecules.
• Work with analytics to characterize processed molecules.
• Oversee and prioritize work of scientists supporting the team.
• Support lead candidate discovery and collaboration with CMC and development teams.
• Maintain lab equipment and manage inventory.
