Job summary

Lilly Genetic Medicines is seeking a collaborative scientist to join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on synthesizing oligonucleotides (ASO, siRNA) and advancing synthesis scale-up for development programs.

You will work with analytical and discovery chemistry teams to ensure quality and drive progress toward clinical candidates, while maintaining lab operations and equipment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Organic Chemistry or related scientific discipline with 2+ years of industry experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize therapeutic oligonucleotides (ASO, siRNA) from small to large scales using automated solid-phase synthesizers.
• Troubleshoot lab synthesis issues and optimize workflows for scale-up.
• Collaborate with discovery chemistry for synthesis scale-up requirements.
• Coordinate with analytical teams for quality control and characterization.
• Oversee scientists and manage laboratory inventory and equipment.
