Avecia Pharma is seeking a Process Development Senior Scientist to plan and conduct development of oligonucleotide processes, including synthesis, purification, ultrafiltration and lyophilization. You will lead scale-up, process optimization and characterization activities while reporting progress to Process Development leadership.

The role involves preparing samples for analysis, maintaining rigorous documentation, and ensuring compliance with EH&S policies, while providing technical direction

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years related experience in science-related discipline, Master’s degree and 5+ years related experience in science-related discipline, or Ph.D. degree and 0+ years related experience in science-related discipline.
• General knowledge of chemical laboratory procedures and equipment.

Aufgaben

• Carries out development/improvement of oligonucleotide processes and assists in solving manufacturing process issues.
• Prepares API samples for customer use following best procedures to produce required material with acceptable quality.
• Participates in PD project team activities ensuring project requirements and timelines are met.
• Prepares sections of technical development protocols, reports, and campaign summaries documenting experiments and conclusions.
• Maintains laboratory documentation using standard scientific record keeping practices
• Adheres to EH&S policies and procedures.
• Performs and monitors assigned group responsibilities to maintain an efficient laboratory
• Develops up-to-date knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry principles, theories, and processes.
