Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Lab Technologist in West Jordan, UT, to perform a variety of lab tasks and production processes. Responsibilities include operating HPLCs, DNA synthesizers, LC/MS, and liquid handling robots, while adhering to quality systems and SOPs.

The role requires 1+ year of lab experience and a High School Diploma or GED; a BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology is preferred. Expect PPE usage and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of laboratory experience.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology.

Responsibilities

• Perform work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux's Diagnostics’ Quality System.
• Maintains records in compliance with regulatory requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
• Manufactures oligonucleotides according to electronic batch records and WID’s.
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation including UV/Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, liquid handling robots, and DNA synthesizers.
• Handles hazardous chemicals in accordance with approved written procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
