Job summary

bioMerieux in Utah is seeking a Lab Technologist to perform a range of laboratory tasks including operating HPLC, DNA synthesizers, LC/MS, liquid handling robots and UV/Vis spectrometry. The role requires quality-focused work and adherence to SOPs and GMPs.

Responsibilities include record-keeping, equipment maintenance, and safe handling of hazardous chemicals. A High School Diploma with 1+ year of lab experience is required; a BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of laboratory experience.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMerieux’s Diagnostics’ Quality System.
• Maintains records in compliance with regulatory requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
• Manufactures oligonucleotides according to electronic batch records and WID’s.
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation including UV/Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, liquid handling robots, and DNA synthesizers.
• Handles hazardous chemicals in accordance with approved written procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
