Job summary

Mercy seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to assess and treat adult and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership, ensuring care aligns with Mercy standards. The role includes supervising patients, rehab technicians, and PT assistants, while adhering to state licensure requirements and BLS certification.

Education must include a current PT license plus a degree such as DPT/MSPT or equivalent, with supervision of staff as part of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy is required.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy is required.
• BLS certification is required and must be current before caring for patients independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts and Mercy standards.
