Job summary

Steel Energy Services in Williston, ND seeks a Floor Hand to perform maintenance and repairs on oil and gas wells and related equipment. The role supports rig operations, handles tools and equipment, and participates in rigging up/down and routine maintenance tasks.

You will work as part of a crew, with opportunities for 24-hour operations and shifts, including weekends. Physical stamina and English communication are essential; CDL is encouraged but not required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• No experience necessary, preferred experience with construction or hard labor.
• Basic Problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and verbal / written English communication skills.
• Basic Oilfield knowledge preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Class B CDL license to drive workover rig (not required-but encouraged)
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 75 pounds.
• Standing, walking, and sitting while working indoors or outdoors.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment exam including drug screen and physical.
• Acceptable criminal history.
• Ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services and repairs on oil and gas wells as part of a three-to-five-person crew.
• Operate/use rod wrenches, rod/tubing tongs, rod/tubing elevators, hand tools, powered rig tools and other related equipment.
• Assist in the rigging up and rigging down of the workover Rig.
• Lift, remove, install, and operate wellhead, pumping units, tubing, rods, casing, and other production equipment.
• Drive company vehicles such as the Crew pick-up truck.
• Workshop and yard maintenance and repair work as required.
• Assist management personnel as required.
• Participate in training in rig operations, SOPs, and safe work procedures.
