Job summary

Diamondback Energy seeks an Oilfield I&E Technician for Midland, TX to oversee installation and operation of instrumentation and electrical gear for battery builds and well projects. You will collaborate with internal staff and contractors to manage multiple projects, ensuring reliability in harsh oilfield environments.

The role requires 3–5 years I&E experience, 2 years oilfield exposure, SCADA knowledge, NEC familiarity, and a Texas Journeyman license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of I&E experience and 2 years of oilfield experience.
• Knowledge of SCADA network architecture and NEC codes.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability; ability to coordinate and oversee installation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of electrical and automation equipment at sites.
• Test, inspect, operate, and troubleshoot electrical equipment on location.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Adhere to NEC and local electrical codes during installations.
