Axis Energy Services, LLC is hiring a Floor Hand to support 4-5 person workover rig crews in Texas. You will aid in rigging, lifting rods, operating rig tools and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety procedures.

This role requires climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working 12-hour shifts in all weather. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of rig floor experience, with valid driver’s license and English communication skills.

Formación

• High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.
• Basic oilfield well servicing experience.
• A minimum of one (1) year rig floor operation experience.
• Valid state issued driver license with acceptable MVR.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written in English.
• Must be able to work a varied rotational schedule and travel as job requires.
• Work may be performed in all weather conditions.
• Mobility, including entering confined spaces, enter areas by the use of ladders or other access devices; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl and walk.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually. Loads over 50 lbs. require a two-person lift or mechanical assistance in accordance with company lifting policy.
• Long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching or similar activities may be necessary
• Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required; potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery
• Ability to interact with others in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Basic problem solving and organizational skills.
• Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.
• Able to clear pre‑employment drug/alcohol and job‑relevant screens

Responsabilidades

• Assist operator in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well.
• Set hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and assists in attaching guy wires to the anchor.
• Operate rod wrenches, tongs, elevators, and other rig tools during well servicing.
• Assist in lifting tubing from the rack onto the work floor.
• Maintain tubing, rod tongs and hand tools on the rig.
• Dismantle and repair oil field machinery using hand and power tools.
• Clean up spills.
• Keep pipe deck and main deck areas orderly.
• Report safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Rig Supervisor.
• Ensure work complies with policies and safety regulations.
• Climb ladders and access rig equipment as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. individually; two-person lift for heavier loads.
• Perform duties with PPE and H2S respirator where required.
