Job summary

Steel Energy Services LTD. is seeking a Floor Hand to support maintenance and repairs on oil and gas wells. The role involves rig operations, equipment handling, and collaboration within a 3–5 person crew, with potential for extended shifts and 24-hour operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic oilfield knowledge, and good English communication. CDL-B is encouraged but not required; physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs and working outdoors or indoors.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• No experience necessary, preferred experience with construction or hard labor.
• Basic problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and verbal/written English communication skills.
• Basic Oilfield knowledge preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Class B CDL license to drive workover rig (not required but encouraged).
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 75 pounds (75#) for extended periods.
• Standing, walking, and sitting while working indoors or outdoors.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment exam that includes drug screen and fitness.
• Acceptable criminal history.
• Ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Available to work beyond the traditional 8-hour day; 24-hour operations may require two or more shifts.
• Reporting for work on time, dressed for deployment, essential for operation.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on oil and gas wells as part of a 3–5 person crew.
• Operate rod wrenches, tongs, elevators, hand tools, and powered rig tools.
• Assist in rigging up and rigging down the workover rig.
• Lift and install wellhead, pumping units, tubing, rods, casing and related equipment.
• Drive company vehicles such as the Crew pickup truck.
• Workshop and yard maintenance and repair as required.
• Assist Steel Energy Services management as needed.
• Participate in company-provided training in rig operations, SOPs and safety.
