Job summary

Killam Oil Co LTD is seeking a Workover Rig Floor Hand in Texas. The role involves assisting in rigging up/down, pulling and laying rods, tubing, and casing, and operating regular rig equipment. Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, equivalency or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience on oil and gas workover or drilling rigs or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to read maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Picks up/lays down pipe and latches tubing in elevators.
• Rigging up and down, handling guidewire hydraulic jacks and safety gear.
• Handle tubing, rods, casing and use rod wrenches, tongs and elevators.
• Assist in operating well head pump, jacks and related tasks as directed.
• Operate mud pump and maintain rig floor tools; attend safety meetings.
